The Metropole Hotel boasts a prime location near Kent railway station, putting guests within easy reach of Cork city centre and attractions like Patrick's Street shops and the English Market. The hotel offers modern, spacious rooms, and many appreciate the river views. While some have noted that the hotel is showing its age, particularly in the bathrooms, a hearty breakfast with made-to-order hot options is a popular highlight. the location was awesome. everything i wanted to see was super close by. i had a hearty breakfast every morning (especially the scrambled eggs!). the staff were always smiling and ready to help.
my room felt a bit dated. i saw some wear and tear on the furniture. the window faced a wall (bummer!). the gym equipment could use an update (some of the machines were a bit creaky).

The building exudes significant charm. A full hot breakfast menu offered options like a full Irish breakfast. The train station is close to the hotel. I also found the discounted parking around the corner nice.
The restaurant staff was unhelpful.

The hotel location was great near the station. A bus station was directly in front of the hotel. I did like that many restaurants and pubs were also nearby. All are positives for me.
Breakfast service were lacking for me. I waited quite a while to be shown a seat. I also waited a while to order. It was very disappointing.
